The following information was provided by Ed's daughter Sonya Mohr:
My father Edward Mohr died February 14, 1993 in West Linn Oregon, He died of a heart attack in our home at the age of 42. He was buried at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland Oregon. My dad lived most of his life in Pasadena and South Pasadena California before moving to the Portland area in 1990. He was married to my mom Ruth Ann Mohr for almost 21 years. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a self employed landlord for the apartments across the street from the high school, from where he grew up with his brother Richard F. Mohr. Survivors were his wife, Ruth Ann, daughters, Marjorie Ann of Temple City, and Sonya Mohr of West Linn, brother Richard F. Mohr who is presently deceased and sister-n-law P.J Mohr of South Pasadena California.
Ed lived a fun and fulfilled life. For anyone who knew him he was your typical hippie, he loved his music, enjoyed deep sea fishing, and knew how to enjoy life to the fullest. My dad missed all his friends in California, but after visiting Mike Lastra in Oregon numerous times, he had decided a change of scenery and we packed up everything and moved. After moving to Oregon, my dad was very happy and at peace. My dad loved how Oregon was so green and so beautiful with the mountains and the clean air. Early February my dad started getting sick, and it was getting worse, and since he was a stubborn man, never wanted to see the doctor, so one evening he went to sleep, and never woke up. He passed very peacefully in his sleep.
